Vinous: 92-95 Points
Medium ruby. Crystallized berries, pepper, flint and minerals on the nose. Sweet, lush and minerally in the mouth, with an almost shockingly suave, smooth texture. Nothing rustic about this zinfandel. Finishes ripely tannic, silky and long, with subtle berry and mineral notes. Goes way beyond the '98 bottling.
