Aberfeldy Description
Nicely balanced and impeccably elegant, the Aberfeldy 12 Year Old has a sweet taste reminiscent of honeycombs, breakfast cereal and stewed fruits on the nose. It has a very inviting smell and is warm, mouth-coating and full bodied on the palate. The finish is long and complex, becoming progressively more spicy and drying.
Colour Warm Gold
Nose Rich, perfumed aroma, rounded and full with heather, honey, notes of sweet pineapple, butter toffee, toast cereal and vanilla. With water, more honey appears, with a subtle hint of toffee apple.
Body Medium to full
Palate Great depth, sweet golden syrup and honey followed by spices and orange peel. With water, the palate becomes creamier with more light fruits, vanilla notes and the faintest wisp of smoke.
Finish Glorious the perfume characteristics become more spicy, with a zesty hint of orange peel in a decidedly dry finish.
Whiskey Advocate
Fresh and floral, with lively tropical fruit, honey, and vanilla. Gentle on the palate, with a slight syrupy texture to its malty foundation. Youthful, orange marmalade finish with a hint of spice. A pleasant, easy-going whisky.
